Raising money for Cystic Fibrosis

Crazy Hair Day has been a long standing tradition at BIS to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is one of the most common, autosomal recessive, life-limiting diseases affecting children and adults in Australia. It causes thick, sticky mucus which affects the lungs and digestive system.

At present, there is no cure for CF. Now that the CFTR faulty gene has been identified, global research is moving towards finding ways of repairing or possibly replacing it.

The schools gathers together a range of awesome hair products:
Clips, Ribbons, Hair Spray, Hair Chalks.
A group of Staff and/or Seniors opt to give up their lunchtime and then...WE CREATE!
To participate, your child needs to bring along 2 ( yes 2!) Gold Coins so that we can reach our $200 goal for Fundraising!

If you and your child REALLY REALLY want to do it at home instead then that’s fine

BUT

you MUST still bring the two gold coin donation to school!
