Brooke O’Brien

Teacher Aide

Brooke grew up in Warwick and moved to Brisbane to complete a Bachelor in Community Cultural Development at Griffith Uni. She’s worked on community festivals, in disability support, in kitchens, volunteered at a school in Nepal and on numerous organic farms in Australia and abroad.

Brooke was inspired to start a business after her travels and began her life as a smoothie peddler, making pedal powered organic smoothies at markets and events. During this time she had two children and fell in love with kids and playing. At most parties and gatherings she can be found hanging out with the kids!

Brooke loves to play, move, cook, laugh, garden, and be in nature. On top of her degree she has completed an Accredited Permaculture Training 3 at Northey Street City Farm and a Certificate 3 in Education Support through TAFE. She has a special interest in the power of outdoor play and getting your hands in the dirt to help things grow. Brooke adores spending her days at BIS connecting with the shiny BIS kids and doing her part in helping to make their days delightful.
