Michelle has an extensive work history that has been led by passion and values.
Beginning in the travel industry with an adventure to New York at eighteen that sparked an ongoing love of combining work with play. Traveling, working, and experiencing the richness of culture along with seeing multiple perspectives led her to study Community and Sustainable Development at Murdoch University and Holistic Counselling. She has worked with people seeking asylum in a Community re settlement program with the Australian Red Cross and also in Malaysia on a grass roots, women’s leadership program.
Returning to Australia, Michelle studied Kids Yoga and a Certificate iv in Education Support, along with participating in various Nature Connection programs. She is passionate about natures rhythms, mindfulness, inspiring change, social and emotional literacy for children, and celebrating our differences as our strengths. On the days that she is not found working at BIS she is holding kids well-being classes, studying Ayurveda and Yoga for Women’s health, growing food and bush walking.
