Anne Ludwig

Big Cats Teacher

Anne grew up in Durban, on South Africa’s east coast. She lived and studied in England for a year during high school, then later, after completing high school, her family moved to Brisbane, where she completed a Diploma of Teaching and then a Bachelor of Education.

With a passion to experience and learn about other places, Anne has travelled through South Africa, New Zealand, England, Europe, Thailand, Fiji and The United States, and has spent time working in some of those countries, doing anything from lawn mowing and working in a sports centre, to being a care mother and also teaching.

A keen golfer, Anne can be found hitting that little while ball on Sundays! She enjoys writing and has self-published a few children’s stories on line. You can also find her messing with water colours, alcohol inks and calligraphy. An avid reader, she always has one or more books on the go. The rest of the time Anne can be found pottering around in her garden.

Anne worked full time as a teacher for ten years, then, so that she could be available if her family needed her, did relief teaching while her two awesome sons made their way through school and uni. Anne loves working with children and gets a charge out of seeing the light go on in someone’s eyes when they “get it”. And all the better if all involved can have a good laugh together along the way.

Anne lives with her husband in Karana Downs. She has worked at BIS as relief staff since 2015 and is now excited to be a full-time team member!
